Why

An FDA-collected sample from a distributor tested positive for Salmonella. The products were distributed direct to consumers and select distributors between September 1 and September 17, 2025.

Risk

Salmonella can affect animals eating contaminated products and poses risk to humans from handling such products. Pets infected with Salmonella may be lethargic, have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, or vomiting. Some pets may experience only decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain. No illness of pets or humans related to this lot has been reported.
